1. Pushing junk that is not Jesus

We use up our “voice” on other issues (politics, health, theories, rants, multilevel marketing, bigfoot)

2. Desalinizing of Christ

We are less reliable, less holy, less loyal and less excellent than the Christless

3. Withholding prayer

We don’t do the first and best thing we can do for our people

4. Fearing or ignoring those around us

We often despise, lash out, judge or simply ignore the people God has sent us to

5. Striking rather than suffering

We whine, threaten, hate, and sue when maybe we should be like a lamb to the slaughter

6. Doing “church ministry” on the “work ministry” clock

We aren’t paid to witness or do Bible studies on company time. That’s called “stealing”

7. Feeding the beast

We often passively promote values in worldview, time use, money use and passions that are in opposition to the gospel

“We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf…”(Hebrews 6:19–20 ESV)

But there is hope!  One has gone before us who worked for us… without missing a beat.  His performance is the basis of our acceptance.  So we can repent, rest in Christ and then enter our workplace again.  But this time, we joyfully enter with the confidence of acceptance, focused on His mission, guided by His example and commands.  Our workplaces are our mission fields.
