
Gifts For The Family - Romans 12:3-8
Continuing in Romans 12, as the Spirit renews our minds, we must begin to think rightly about ourselves. We must see ourselves as God sees us. And God sees us as his children that he has given gifts to, gifts that are to be used by us for the benefit of the church and the glory of God.

Fear or Mercy? - Romans 12:1-2
In Romans 12 the conversation shifts from what God has done, to what we are to do in response. Paul tells us that we are to make our bodies living sacrifices to God, not out of fear of condemnation, but rather out of gratitude and worship because of his great mercy and love. He also warns against conforming to the patterns of the world by reminding us that, by the Spirit, we are being transformed by the renewing of our minds.

In Awe Of The Depths Of God - Romans 11:25-36
God is beyond us but draws close in chapters 9-11 to show us that He is completely faithful to his promises, how he is in complete control and that his saving work of all types of mankind is the same. He is pulling us out of and forgiving us of our human rebellion against Him only through his grace and mercy provided through Jesus.

God’s Preserving and Our Persevering - Romans 11:1-24
God has brought salvation to the Gentiles through the Jewish season of unbelief. Whenever God makes a corporate people, each person within it must come to saving faith himself/ herself and perseveres until the end. This is how God preserves His Children.

The Message Sending God - Romans 10:14-21
God’s relationship with all of humanity always has been and will be through His continued extension of a promise message which is then accepted by faith in those who are willing. It was never earned and the promise message was never absent. Ever since the resurrection of Jesus, his life, death and resurrection are the central and fulfilling piece of that promise message that all must hear and believe in order to be saved.

Believe & Confess - Romans 10:1-13
As we begin chapter 10, Paul once again stresses his desire for his fellow Israelites to be saved. But once again, he presses the point of the laws inability to save us and that salvation comes only through belief and confession of Christ as Lord and Savior.

Jesus Gets In The Way - Romans 9:25-33
Jesus will end up being your delight and savior, or else he will get in your way, becoming a stumbling stone or your life plans and a rock of offense to your self righteousness.

Our Sovereign God: Good, Transcending &Trusted - Romans 9:14-24
When God explains his faithfulness to all his historical promises, the central piece he wants us to remember is that sovereign control, even over the whole of salvation. He knows we need to know this and stresses that we embrace this, even when we cannot fully understand how it harmonizes perfectly with His righteousness, mercy, compassion and justice. It does harmonize, but we are not shown now. He is in control and perfectly just in that control. We find our closure in this in the power and character of God himself.

Salvation Is Of God - Romans 9:6-11
In both the Old Testament and New Testament, salvation always has been and will be determined by the call of God expressed through promises, not genetic, biological birthrights or moral merit.

The Eternal Dream - Psalm 90:12-17
The life of the true, accepted child of God belongs to Him and is most beautiful and delightful when satisfied in God and longing for maximum eternal use of their earthly life.

The Vital Word Of God - 2 Timothy 3:16-17
God speaks and we listen. As his people we are formed and given direction by the Word of God. It is vital and profitable for all things that God has called his people to do and to be.

We believers are commissioned by Jesus to be His witness.There is power and peace in the delightful pleading and confident proclamation of Jesus the King.The rightful witness will happen as the Spirit is sought by you and He guides and empowers you in the moment.

The Delighted Family Of God - Psalm 16
What is a Christian and what is a church? Christians are people who have been transformed by God through the gospel of Christ to be “lovers of God” or, can equally be called those who now delight in God. And what is their connection? It is their shared Father who has placed each one into his family, which He calls the Church. Therefore, each local church is, at its root, God’s family and must be obviously that.

The Gift Of Peace - Luke 2:11-14
At the birth of Jesus, the angels declared peace to all with whom God is pleased. And in Christ we find the reality of true peace, both peace with God, and peace from God.

God is love and he demonstrates that love by giving us the greatest gift, Christ. And because of this gift of love, we can now love one another with the same love that God has shown us.

Jesus comes to this world bearing gifts. The first is his gift of hope, the certainty of the living Savior.


Trust And Sorrow - Romans 9:1-5
At the beginning of Romans 9, we begin to see Paul’s heart for those who do not know Jesus, particularly those who share his Jewish background. Here we see that trusting in God’s purposes in salvation does not keep us from loving and reaching others for Christ.

Fighting Fear - Romans 8:35-39
This last paragraph of the 8th chapter of Paul’s letter to the Romans expresses the promise of Jesus’ unlimited, unconditional, unchanging love which eternally secures our salvation. Inspired by God, Paul conveys three types of fear that may cause us to doubt this truth: (1) Fear of things in our world, (2) Fear of things in the world beyond, and (3) Fear of things in you and me. Yet, nothing can separate Jesus and His followers!
